My name is Shobna Radons, and I am running to be your next Ward 7 city councillor.
I have a long track record of community service, including 20 years of military service and as an employee at Canada Post. I am also proud of the years of hard work I have invested in community organizations in Regina, such as the United Way and the Regina District Labour Council (RDLC).
Over 40 years ago, my family immigrated to Regina from Guyana, South America. I am proud to have grown up in this community and am proud to have raised my two daughters here.
Being engaged with the community through volunteering has given me a strong understanding of public policy and taught me the value of listening to the community.
I am passionate about improving the quality of life for families in this city. As an avid follower of the City Council agenda, I firmly believe it is time for a fresh perspective in City Hall. Our elected officials can do more to make Regina more affordable, accessible and inclusive.
I look forward to connecting with you, and earning your trust.
